Insurance & Refunds

Insurance Coverage & Refund Policy for

Israel Programs

CTeen purchases health insurance to cover your teen while on the trip. Separate trip cancellation insurance can be purchased through a third-party provider, it is not covered by CTeen. Listed below are CTeen’s cancellation policies pertaining to flight cost and trip cost.

Flight cost:

The Group Flight airline tickets are non-refundable. Once a ticket is issued on your behalf, it is governed by airline policies and cannot be refunded. Tickets will be issued within 90 days of departure.

Trip cost:

If a registration is canceled:

  • 90 days prior to trip departure a full refund will be provided.

  • 61-90 days prior to trip departure a 75% refund will be provided.

  • 31-60 days prior to trip departure a 50% refund will be provided.

  • 15-30 days prior to trip departure a 25% refund will be provided.

  • 1-14 days prior to trip departure no monies will be refunded.

The above policy applies should you choose to cancel your registration due to any and all circumstances. Due to our fixed costs, we are unable to make exceptions and we highly recommend purchasing your own trip cancellation insurance for additional coverage. If CTeen cancels the trip, a full refund will be issued. There are many insurance options with different levels of coverage that can protect and reimburse for trip cancellation. A simple search on Google for “travel insurance” or “trip cancellation insurance” will bring up many options. You will need to supply the dates and cost of the of the trip as well as the age of the traveler in order to obtain a quote.

For participants originating in the USA, a vendor called “Teen Travel Insurance” reached out to us and created a designated page for us at teentravelinsurance.com/cteen

We encourage families to consider these extra coverages but do not mandate them.

Please note: The above cancellation policies apply and will not be waived due to insufficient paperwork required for travel such as a passport, visa or other required paperwork.  CTeen is bound by the entry and exit requirements of the countries we will depart from and the destination countries we are traveling to. Should there be any issue with your teen’s passport, visa, or other paperwork needed to satisfy the entry or exit requirements in order to travel, it is your responsibility to meet such criteria and attend the program you have registered for as scheduled. Insufficient paperwork required for travel will not entitle the participant to any exemption from the above cancellation policies.
