Statement Regarding Security Situation in Israel
May 13, 2021
As we watch the escalating tensions in Israel, it is undoubtedly a concern for all of us. We pray for the safety of our brothers and sisters and hope that no more lives will be lost and calm will soon be restored.
With CTeen Heritage Quest just 2 months away, we hear the concerns that many of you have shared with us about the trip and would like to reassure you that in accordance with our risk-free registration policy all payments will be refundable up until 30 days before departure.
As our departure date nears, we will continue to assess and make decisions based on the security climate―and in accordance with our liaisons in Israel’s security departments. We will keep you informed and updated of any changes. Attached are some of the guidelines from our partners at Israel Maven who will be coordinating our program on the ground in Israel.
We want to remind you that Israeli Ministry of Tourism guidelines for tour groups and the places they are permitted to visit are even more stringent than those of regular tourists. In addition, our itineraries are reviewed daily by the Israeli Situation Room, and we follow all government guidance and directives provided specifically for groups.
For now, we must do all we can to boost the spiritual protection of our people and the Land of Israel. Time after time, when the people of Israel faced threats from enemies, the Rebbe stressed the importance of increasing in good deeds and adding in prayer and charity. We have the power of good! With a single good deed on our part, here and now, we each can contribute toward the safety of our fellow Jews in Israel.
May we only share good news,
Rabbi Nachman Rivkin
Director, CTeen Summer Programs
